ABOUT DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY
"There are just so many aspects of living here that we enjoy and love, and we thank you so very much for our beautiful home. We love the architecture, the contemporary design and the open-ness of our living and dining spaces. The kitchen bar in particular we love SO much... We truly enjoy the natural light coming in and we love the absence of formality in our new home. The color scheme is perfect. Most importantly, we really wanted to put in writing how much we enjoy our home and how appreciative we are of your vision and artistic talent. Everyone who enters our home comments on what a unique, innovative and impressive home we have." -- Nick Iammarino, Whitney Lofts
What we love most about our MDGi home is the architectural vision it reflects. Inside, our home is, at the same time, dramatic and yet comfortable and cozy. The spaces are ample and well-proportioned, and have something that is hard to define, but that we enjoy every day a sense of tranquility. The thoughtful design makes our 3,500 SF home feel much larger. Su Nguyens design has given us a house that is not simply beautiful, but also functional and efficient, including ample the storage space. Outside, we have a visually stunning house, crafted of durable and sensible materials, that manages to be very sensitive to its site and its surroundings. We appreciate that we got an exceptionally high quality home for a reasonable price. -- Larry Fossi
ABOUT OUR TEAM AND OUR SERVICE
Our home is truly one of a kind. Su was able to integrate all of the features that we asked for into a masterpiece of architecture. We were involved from the beginning on finishes, tile, etc., and nobody ever seemed put off by our last minute changes. We have worked with other architects and will never use/recommend anyone but MDGi in the future. -- Amanda Dailey and Shannon Walker, University House
"The experience has been the smoothest I have known throughout the building process, move-in and follow up. The staff at MDGi are wonderful to work with and are extremely responsive to the client's needs. The quality shows both in construction and the care of the staff. The clean architecture and flexible floor plan are unique and contribute to an easy lifestyle." -- Steven Dauser
Having lived in midtown for 5 years, I was looking for a bigger townhome with specific set requirements. More bedrooms, more closet space, larger bathrooms, seperate isolated study, own drive, yard, etc. All of this without moving to the suburbs. It didn't take me long to realise how tough of a proposition this was. Lots of properties on the market but very few that hit the mark. Then a friend introduced me to MDGI's Su Nguyen. After looking at their designs and some of their work, I signed up and have been happy since. The finished product is even better than it looked on paper and has unique touches throughout. For me, the most pleasurable part of the experience was the builder's flexibility to make significant adjustments to fit. This truly made it into more of what was wanted than just buying off the shelf. -- Daniel Adeyemo
The actual process of building, described by so many people we know as a protracted nightmare, was for us a pleasure. The construction process took only about nine months. Su Nguyen, MDGis owner, was personally involved in the design and construction of our home. Before executing his design, he took the time to understand our family and our needs. He was frequently on site during construction to work out details, and was invariably patient and helpful with our ongoing minor changes. Before we engaged Su, we were convinced that he has a deep well of integrity, and our experience proved that it was true. Su is not simply a designer, but also a builder. For instance, he personally selected stone for our front steps and then mixed the concrete and set them in place himself. We liked that, in the design and selection of materials, OUR input was sought and appreciated. Su told us that it was our personal touches that would make it a home. Some architects might have disagreed with some of those personal touches - using five old chandeliers for lighting here, painting a mural on a wall there, re-using floors from the bungalow formerly on the site. Su welcomed and supported those ideas. -- Fossi family
